Phillip is originally from Spring Hill, Kansas. He lived in Lynchburg, VA., 2000-2005, while attending school at Liberty University and then Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. He initially went to Liberty on a full-ride baseball scholarship, but soon discovered that the real passion in his heart was to change lives through full-time ministry. After "hanging up his spikes" his freshman year, he became the Senior Pastor of Sandy Level Baptist Church at the age of nineteen. He then became the Special Assistant to Dr. Jerry Falwell, founder of Liberty University and Thomas Road Baptist Church. While traveling across America doing this, Phillip crossed paths with Pastor Ryan and Bannockburn and joined us in July 2005. He is excited about being here and is passionate about reaching out to all of the college students and young adults in our church as well as in the Austin area. He and his wife, Frances, have a beautiful daughter.
