Our Mission Statement
"Guiding generations to become passionate followers of Jesus Christ, one home at a time."

  • "To guide" others, we must be on the journey ourselves.  One cannot guide another without coming along the path.  We are not just called to reach lost people and then leave them to fend for themselves in their spiritual development.  Jesus said, "Go and make disciples" -- literally, "Go and make followers of ME."
  • "Generations" is an important word in our mission as a church.  One of the wonderful gifts that we enjoy at Bannockburn is the diversity of ages who gather each week.  Scripture makes it clear that the church should be a place where generations come together to both honor and learn from one another.  Additionally, whenever we implement a program of ministry, we do so with all generations in mind and the family implications they bring into focus.
  • "Passionate" is a word that describes the type of followers we want to continue becoming as a congregation.  Our God is too great, and the commission too awesome to become His casual followers.  Our goal must always be to do what we are called to do with spiritual fervor, and with an authenticity that comes from intimate relationship.
  • "Jesus Christ" must always be the focal point of church ministry.  Our emphasis on families, generations, and homes, is only a means to an end -- and the end is Jesus.
  • "One Home at a Time" is the profound indicator of our methodology.  In everything we do, we seek to export it into the homes of our people.  Our strategic focuses are meaningless and hypocritical if they do not produce spiritual fruit at home.
