Welcome to Bannockburn Kids Weekday (BKW)! Located in the heart of Austin, TX and Dripping Springs, TX, BKW has been an integral part of the Bannockburn Church community for over two decades. Whether you recognize us as the Mother’s Day Out program, KKW, or by our current name, BKW, our core mission remains unchanged: to shape young minds, introducing them to the love and teachings of Jesus Christ.
A Journey through the Years
Starting off as a humble ‘Mother’s Day Out’ initiative, BKW has evolved but has never strayed from its original intent. For over 20 years, our aim has been to connect with families in the Austin and Dripping Springs communities, offering top-notch part-time preschool education, with Jesus at the heart of all we do.
While our name might have changed over time, our dedication to serving local families and nurturing preschoolers has only grown stronger. We’re thrilled to embrace another year filled with lessons about the unwavering trustworthiness and truth of Jesus.

A Curriculum Crafted with Care
BKW’s curriculum is predominantly based on the WEE Learn series by Lifeway. This Bible-centric program:
- Encourages active learning through diverse activities.
- Promotes hands-on experiences, fostering independent thought and problem-solving.
- Lays the foundation for faith, instilling a passion for learning and a deep-rooted love for God.
- Ensures children develop, grow, and cherish their successes.
Supplemental Curriculum:
Our teaching doesn’t stop with the primary curriculum. We also incorporate Scripture Bites by Standard Publishing and Growing with God by Gospel Light during chapel sessions.
