Common Questions
- Will I be accepted at DivorceCare? People at DivorceCare are there because they, too, are looking for help and support in a caring, safe place. Everyone is welcome, no matter what circumstances led to the breakup and no matter what your current marital status.
- Can I join a group any time? Yes! The program is designed so you can join at any time during the 13-week cycle.
- Is DivorceCare right for me? DivorceCare was created to help people find hope and healing after divorce or separation. Check out the weekly topics covered by DivorceCare and see if you find them relevant and relatable to your situation.
- What are the group leaders like? Your DivorceCare leaders have been where you are, are at a place of healing and recovery, and want to show you how to get there. They have a heart to help people in the same way they’ve been helped. And they’ll help you avoid common mistakes.
- I’m not religious. Should I come? Even though DivorceCare is based upon Christian principles, people from all faiths, and even those who are not religious, have found hope and healing attending. The practical advice from counselors, pastors, and health-care professionals apply to anyone.
- What if I’m not comfortable sharing with the group? That’s perfectly fine. No one is required to share.
